Obtain US College Credit at Oxford & Cambridge Summer Academy in 2017

In 2017 CBL International and WorldStrides are giving all OCSA delegates the opportunity to gain additional US college credit, to be awarded through University of California San Diego (UCSD), WorldStrides’ university partner institution and school of record.

This is an exciting addition for 2017 programmes, which you won’t find on any other high school summer programme. The following information will outline how US high school credit and US college credit will be offered to delegates of these fantastic programmes.

US HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT:

  • As part of Oxford & Cambridge Summer Academy, your participation in one session (2 weeks) accounts for 1 US High School Credit, and this is included within your programme.
  • US High School Credit will be awarded to you on completion of the programme in the form of a certificate and academic transcript, which will outline the workload of your programme, and assessments that you completed. This is a great way for you to boost your resume and share your achievements with your school!
  • High school credit will be issued at no additional charge.
  • If you are participating in more than one session (more than 2 weeks) you will earn a high school credit for each session. For Oxford & Cambridge Summer Academy this is a maximum of 4 credits.

US COLLEGE CREDIT:

  • When attending Oxford & Cambridge Summer Academy (UK) you will have the option of obtaining one US college credit.
  • US College Credit is an optional part of the programmes, and it is not compulsory.
  • In order to obtain 1 US College Credit, you will be required to submit additional academic coursework, completed independently and submitted online.
  • The US college credit and the provided materials can be obtained for a non-refundable fee of 150USD or 130GBP. By choosing to obtain college credit, you will not be issued a US high school credit.
  • If you are attending more than one session, you will have the opportunity to apply for 1 US College Credit for each session you partake in.
  • Once you have submitted your academic coursework to a satisfactory standard, you will receive your academic transcript by mail post-programme.
  • For those participants who are considering the US for college, this could be a fantastic complementary addition to your programme!
